With that being said, it was well written and has me waiting on the edge of my seat for the next book. If you enjoy reading witchcraft then you will enjoy this book; however, if you hate cliffhangers, you might want to wait until all of the books are released.

No one has been murdered yet but Polly's witchly powers are waning and no one knows why. As she, her aunt, and cousin look for reasons, dark magic is gaining strength. Why?I enjoyed this book. It is told from the animals point of view, specifically Talisman but you get his interactions with the other animals in town. The only time the humans are displayed is when Talisman is with them. I like this. There are questions about Talisman I want answered. I hope to find out more of why he can shift to human form. This is different but it keeps my interest. I want to know more of these animals and humans.I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Delightful read By Smart Aleck What a delightful read! Sure, you've got your recognizable archetypes, but that's really the fun of it all. Talisman is the good witch Penelope's cat and is the narrator. So you've got sarcastic, talking animals (well, to each other, it's not Babe-talking animals) and the main characters look devastatingly beautiful--which is just how I like them. It's a short read--PURRfect for a Saturday afternoon. I can't wait until the next one in the series comes out!
