By Amazon Customer After reading N.L Hoffmann's Daughters Of Darkness Series and loving her unique writing style that not only pulled you in but also made you really feel for the characters within as well as writing some exception sex scenes!With this in mind when I was ask if I wanted to read an advance copy of The Monster I've Become I totally jumped at the chance.Straight away you are plunged head first into the deep end of the intricate plot which finds Tate driving with her best friend into her old home town to try and find her aunt's house. She hasn't seen her aunt since she was a girl, she remembers some family drama but what she doesn't know is that once she meets her aunt it's only there the true family drama begins to unfold. Secrets are a funny thing in life and in families they can be deadly, which in Tate's case they almost certainly are, thrust into a world of Supernaturals where some are friend and others are foe, it is up to Tate to work out not only who she really is and who she is becoming but also who she can really trust.Evander is the King of the Warlocks (You may remember him from The Daughters Of Darkness Series), he meets Tate in a cell made of Earth where they are trapped together. He knows instantly hat Tate is and when he realises that she has no idea about the Supernatural world he helps her navigate it. From the instant they meet there in a connection between them, one neither can deny, but they come from two very different Supernatural groups who do not normally fraternize due to the monster that resides within one such as Tate. Together they face the challenges ahead where not all of the ones that are throw at them from an outside source but also come from within. Can they make it? Is Tate strong enough to not let her inner monster take over and will they survive each other?There is a few cameo appearances from a few of our favourite Daughters Of Darkness characters which really brought a whole new flavour to the plot spicing it up that little bit more. I really loved it and as the first in this new series (What Hides Beneath) it was an excellent start truly reeling the reader in, I can't wait for book 2!5*****Stars

The way her monster was described I would definitely have a hard time dealing with it. Very disturbing, crazy creepy and scary for her. She pushed through and became stronger in the end, which who doesn't love a strong heroine overcoming her deepest fears.One of my favorite book boyfriends was in this book and was it bad I was rooting for the other guy because I wanted Evander to stay single? Lol That shows how well his character has been written. I want him all to myself. Hooray for Book Boyfriends :) Without spoiling too much there is a fun twist that I he might have competition on the book boyfriend list.There are also some major hints to what is coming for the next book and I loved seeing old characters make an appearance in this book.Another knock out book. Check out all of N. L. Hoffman's books, you will not regret it!

Once I started it I couldn't put it down. The imagery is so vivid I could picture every scene unfolding around me. The characters, their emotions and the experiences they go through are depicted very well.Tate is a 29 year old US Marshall. She lives with her best friend Eric and is your average normal person. She will receive a phone call from her Aunt Frances that will chance her life forever.I love Tate. She is a take charge clear thinking woman. As her life changes drastically so does her personality. Evander took a bit to grow on me. Gavin I am still on the fence about, either love him or hate him.I can't wait for the next book

By Stacey Swift For research purposes, I am looking for reference materials that can provide me information about diets. Having this book is a good collection to my sources. Quite a good read, indeed!The term “Paleo” as I first heard about it seemed to be a hard topic to tackle. Well, I was wondering if I have to include it in my research scope. I thought it was some kind of diet practiced by some tribe and it will be hard to look for facts about the subject. I am just thankful to have this book as it helped me understand of what a Paleo really is. I discovered through John's book that the Paleo diet generally addresses the inability to gain more weight. There may be a lot of people who would like to lose weight but the truth is there are also many who struggle to overcome life's challenges due to their underweight characteristic. Hence, to those who wants more weight, this book is recommended for you. It provided me a helpful list of foods and sample meal plan as well as some physical activities and supplements that can help gain weight. I learned more about the Paleo diet and the mass gaining techniques that can make us stay clean and healthy while gaining more weight.Thank you for writing this, John! I look forward to read more of your books.

Great book on building mass with Paleo By Angela Johnson This book took a completely different turn on Paleo books that I've read before, and that is why I picked it up. My partner and I are really health conscious, but of course, I'm always trying to lose weight and he's trying to be a muscle-bound weight gainer. In order for us to be able to cook the same foods and minimize the need for multiple meals, I felt it important to pick up a book that shows how the same diet I frequent (Paleo) can be used to help build mass. This book is full of great tips, advice and recipes that my man can use, with the same foods that we buy on our grocery list to keep me lean and fit, and that really makes us both happy!

One thing I read in the beginning of the book that stuck with me is that you don’t need a bunch of expensive equipment or exercise tapes to lose-weight and shape up. The exercises in this book are easy and the book is inexpensive.All you need is this book, some weights and a comfortable spot in your home where you can focus. Now a large metropolitan city, Seattle was once nothing more than a few cabins, inhabited by pioneers with a vision. This book was written by Arthur A. Denny, one of the founders of Seattle. This book is a must for anyone with an interst in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.

It is his best attempt to paint himself the father of Seattle, but later research would reveal that his prominence in the histories was due to his financial contributions to their publishing. Though it is well-written, one must be mindful that A.A. Denny, like most successful businessmen, was highly opinionated. His references to Dr. David Maynard as the town drunk are the opinions of a "teetotaler" who likely felt that any person who consumes alcohol must be a drunk. There are many books on Seattle history that paint a more three-dimensional portrait of pioneer life - and are less one-sided. Recommended: Murray Morgan, Bill Speidel, and Clarence Bagley (even though his history was financed in part by the Denny family).Read it. It's brief, semi-accurate, and worth the time. Just remember this is Denny's version of what happened. I can only give it one star.

By logical spartan I took the book because it listed anal but there was not a word about anal sex. I suggest anyonelooking for hot anal sex read Dale Andrews. It definitely kept my interest throughout and couldn't put the book down! The passion was just right & looking forward to the next book to see how Country & Hollywood progress!

I read this author's first published book, Damaged, and loved it but this one definitely showed how much her experience and skills have grown. The story line was great! I adored how the chapters went back and forth between Trevelin's version and then Izzy's version of what was going on at the time! The passion between them was awesome and kept me from putting the book down. This book definitely leaves you anxious for the next book to come out! I read in the first review that the person was aggravated because the author was not explicit on whether it was a single novel or not; however, on the cover, the first page, and the back of the book the author plainly states "A Knight Raiders Novel" which to me says this is somewhat of a series or definitely more than one. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves passion and suspense!! I can NOT wait for the next book to be released!!

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great Rock star Romance with a Country Girl By TBledsoe I absolutely loved this book! The characters were well defined and interesting. The main characters, Isabel aka Country and Travelin aka Hollywood were great to read. Country was very quick witted with innocence that actually didn't make you want to roll your eyes. Hollywood was sarcastic and sexy but still showed a vulnerable side even when he didn't always want to. The secondary characters were also likeable even when they weren't suppose to be. I will not spoil storyline but will say that I hope Country realizes that she was being a little hypocritical at the end if the book. Her character is young and this is a first love kind of thing but she is a smart girl I hope she figures it out early in the next book. I can't wait for the next one.

Power I have used both the earlier edition and this one in my classes for several years and students really like the book. The text covers a lot of ground and excels at presenting sophisticated ideas in a way that my students can understand them. It also incorporates topics of interest to a wide variety of students and speaks to a range of topics and are that appeal to my diverse student body.Margaret Power, Illinois Institute of Technology

Latin America book By Ryann Harvell Pretty good comprehensive book of modern Latin America but I didn't very much care for the organization of the book or the index. I felt like the organization made sense but that the content placement wasn't always relevant or helpful.
