Walker's writing of BLACK AS I WANNA BE is a truly inspiring and personal message to explore the recent killings involving white officers and Black victims. Walker explains how these killings have impacted him as a Black male. The fact that he has been fed up to the point of wanting to fight back with violence. While reading BLACK AS I WANNA BE it brings clarity to some issues surrounding racism in America. Racism has moved from generation to generation. Walker points out that racism in America is systemic, rooted and grounded in day to day life.I highly recommend this well written and thoughtful book.
