About the Author Arthur W. Johnson has a wife, five married daughters, and several grandchildren. He has had a varied life from being a performing musician to building homes. Art has a number of upbeat articles published in his local magazine as well as poetry in anthologies. He has been a charter member of his local writer’s club and arts council, as well as founder and director of his local orchestra and musical theater company. He currently performs in a big band and a concert band at the same time as rehabbing older homes.

I learned things about the history of the Chicago area in the context of rocking good story about privation, persistence and success. In the interest of full disclosure, the author and I are brothers.
