By Jami Wagner Love is in the air!CHRISTMAS CLASH reminded me why the holidays bring out the best in us and why it’s the perfect time of the year to fall in love!Once again Volney has created some witty characters. Try as they might to dislike one another, nothing can stop them from their real feelings.Candace Ellison….I wish I had this woman’s determination and brilliant mind. She won’t take no for an answer. Not from anyone. When someone threatens to take her flower shop away, she will stop at nothing to keep it right where it is. Even if that means working with the guy next door who also happens to be her worst enemy.Luke Carrigan…his patience with such a wired woman is impeccable. He puts most men to shame and has most women swooning. When he learns he is about to lose the family Pub, he puts all his trust into the one woman he can’t stand to be around. Or…so he thought. The excitement this book contained and the way I could relate to specific scenes had me hooked! She knows exactly how to pull you into her book and keep you there until you have turned the last page.Candlelight is romantic and that’s exactly what CANDLELIGHT CONSPIRACY is all about. Toss in delectable food and a little music and this is one book you'll want to read.The characters in the story are engaging. Although you see a glimpse or two of their working life, the intimate setting of their home lives brings out the connection between Marc and Sophie.I enjoyed how quickly the darkness in their pasts was resolved. The behavior each character displayed throughout the story was consistent and fit each of them beautifully. They both came off as people who knew exactly what they wanted. A bump in the road wasn’t about to change anything.As usual, Volney’s quick dialogue has you hooked to the page and pulls you into the story.Candlelight Conspiracy is the perfect blend of sexy and touching. If you’re looking for a little spark to your afternoon, it’s the perfect book for you!Who knows…maybe you’ll discover your nemesis is really the love of your life. The holiday season is a season for love!

By Alexia Janie Evans "Season of Love: 3 Holiday Novellas" by Dana Volney has 3 short stories in it; "Holiday Hoopla, Christmas Clash, and Candlelight Conspiracy." Each story is a short, classic romance and well worth the read. First reads from this author but definitely not my last.
