He refers to selected readings in the Old Testament and the New Testament to introduce many historically important figures in Jewish history. He also introduces a number of names not commonly associated with Jesus and his progenitors and proposes provocative hints about reasons for underlying motives.

You want to read this book a little at a time to absorb all that it contains. It gets you thinking about the Old Testament times and often in a new way. Very thought provoking while still written in an easy to read format. I am enjoying learning more about each of the OT characters in the lineage of Jesus. I recommend it.
